The most comprehensive knowledge of the handbag industry teaches you how to distinguish bags.

A good handbag needs good style design and good "structural characteristics"! If you have a certain knowledge of the handbag industry and understand the "characteristics" of bags, you can "comfortably" communicate with merchants! There is also the right to "initiate" in theory. The editor will take stock of the "terms" and "characteristics" of the structure of several key parts for you.

1. Shoulder Strap (Handle)

The fabric of the shoulder strap is generally made of the "fabric" or "ingredients" of the bag body. For hardware such as "hook" or "circle", the two parts of "connection" and "spring" of hardware hooks are generally easy to break, so pay more attention when buying bags! If it is an "iron wire" circle, pay more attention to the interface part of the circle. Some circles are "alloy" die-cast, and there is no interface. This type of hardware is safe.

2. Pocket Zipper

The zipper consists of a zipper, a slider and a pull tab! Both sides are generally made of nylon, and the "zipper teeth" in the middle are mainly divided into two types: "rubber teeth" and "metal teeth". How can you tell the quality of a zipper?

First, see if the "zipper teeth" have fallen off (subtleties)

Second, pull the slider several times to see if the slider and zipper are connected smoothly.

Third, after tightening the zipper, bend a part of the zipper, the strength can be a little stronger, and check for cracks (zipper teeth) while bending.

Fourth, look at the connection gap between the pull card and the slider. If the gap is large, the pull card will come off the slider easily.

3. Bag Body

The fabric of the bag body is called "main material", and the fabrics of the handle, bag mouth and hem are called "ingredients". The front side is called "Front Panel", the back side is called "Back Panel", the left and right sides are called "Left and Right Side Panels", the pockets outside the bag body are called "Outside Pockets", the pockets on the inside body are called "Inside Pockets", and the pockets in the middle of the inside body are called "Side Pockets". "Separate pocket", the cover of the mouth of the bag is called "hijab", the buckle connecting the hijab to the body of the bag is called "lizai", and the two parts connecting the handle and the mouth of the bag are called "earzai".

4. Fabric

Fabric is divided into two types: canvas and leather.

The quality of natural canvas is mainly determined by the "density" of the fabric.

The calculation unit of canvas fabric density is in metric system, which refers to the number of warp and weft yarns arranged within 10cm. The level of density directly affects the physical and mechanical indicators such as appearance, feel, thickness, strength, folding resistance, air permeability, wear resistance and thermal performance of the fabric, and it is also related to the cost of the product and the level of production efficiency.

There are two methods to measure warp and weft density:

The calculation unit of canvas fabric density is in metric system, which refers to the number of warp and weft yarns arranged within 10cm. The size of density directly affects the physical and mechanical indicators such as appearance, feel, thickness, strength, folding resistance, air permeability, wear resistance and thermal performance of the fabric, and it is also related to the cost of the product and the size of production efficiency.

There are two methods for measuring warp and weft densities:

(1) Direct measurement method

The direct measurement method is carried out by means of a cloth mirror or a cloth density analysis mirror. Under the analysis lens, there is a red line engraved on a long glass strip. When analyzing the density of the fabric, move the camera to align the red line on the glass and the red line on the scale between two yarns at the same time, and use this as the starting point. Count the number of yarns while moving the camera until the 5 cm scale line is here. The number of yarns is multiplied by 2, which is the density value of the 10cm fabric.

When counting the number of threads, the middle between the two threads should be used as the starting point. When the count reaches the end point, if it exceeds 0.5 yarns and is less than one yarn, it should be counted as 0.75 yarns; if it is less than 0.5 yarns, then it should be calculated by 0.25 root. Generally, 3-4 data should be measured for fabric density, and then the arithmetic mean should be taken as the measurement result.

(2) Indirect test method

This method is suitable for regular fabrics with high density and small yarn count. First, after analyzing the fabric weave and its weave loop number (weave yarn number of weave loop), and then multiplying by the number of weave loops in 10cm, the product obtained is the warp (weft) yarn density.

The difference between real leather and PU (artificial leather)

1) Tactile recognition: Touch the leather surface with your hand, if there is a feeling of smoothness, softness, plumpness and elasticity, it is genuine leather.

2) Visual recognition: the leather surface has clearer pores and natural texture, yellow cowhide has more uniform fine pores, buffalo leather has thicker and sparse pores, and goat leather has fish scale pores.

3) Olfactory Identification: Artificial leather has a strong irritating plastic smell, and genuine leather has a leather smell. The artificial leather fiber has a pungent smell after igniting and forms lumps, and the genuine leather fiber has the smell of burnt hair after igniting and the fiber does not form lumps.

Faux leather and synthetic leather also have the following characteristics:

When you press the leather surface with your fingers, there are no obvious pores and wrinkles, and if there are wrinkles after pressing, they will not disappear obviously. The artificial leather surface is non-porous.

5.   Hardware

Hardware is divided into "iron wire" and "alloy". The method of identification is to use a magnet. The iron wire that can absorb firmly is the iron wire, otherwise the alloy. "Alloy" is more expensive than "iron wire"! The metal surface material after "oil sealing" is not easily oxidized by air. So what kind of hardware has been sealed with oil? Two points:

1) Smell it with your nose, it smells like gas oil.

2) Touch it with your hands, there is a slight greasy feeling.

6, the thread (the term is called "car thread")

20# (thicker) nylon thread is generally used on the outside of the bag body, 40# (thinner) nylon thread is generally used on the inside, and cotton thread is generally used on the inside lining (604 is thicker, 606 is thinner). The handbag industry requires "seven needles per inch" for the stitch density of "threading". Generally, high-end and premium bags are made in strict accordance with this standard.
